What is Doju?

Doju is a business programme for designers and creative studios who are good at the work but can't get enough of the right clients consistently. It's run by Oliver Johns, who still runs his own agency doing around $75k a month. It helps you get consistent, better-paying clients without relying on referrals or luck.

Who is Doju for?

Freelance designers and small creative studios who've had paying clients but rely on referrals, old contacts or luck to get the next one. That includes brand designers, web designers and developers, UX and product designers, motion designers, copywriters, social media managers and creative strategists. Most members are doing somewhere between $3k and $20k a month.

It isn't for people who haven't had a paying client yet (the free workshop is a better place to start), agencies with more than about 10 people, or anyone looking for someone to find clients for them.

What problem does Doju solve?

Most creatives don't know where their next client is coming from. A good month feels like luck and a quiet one feels like proof they're not good enough. Doju fixes that by working through the four stages every client goes through:

Doju works out which of the four is costing you the most, and fixes that one first.

What does Doju include?

How does Doju work?

There are two ways to join: the self-guided programme, or the programme with 1-1 support from Oliver. Which one suits you depends on where your business is, and that's what the 15 minute call is for. The call is with Oliver himself, the person who built Doju, runs the agency and would be your mentor. There's no sales team or setter. Access lasts 6 months.

Who runs Doju?

Oliver Johns (@remoteoliver). He started as a freelance designer and grew an agency that now does around $75k a month. He's earned over $1m as a service provider and has worked with over 2,300 creatives on getting clients. Everything in Doju is what he uses in his own agency right now.

What results have members had?

How much does Doju cost?

It depends which option is right for you. Oliver goes through the options and the payment plan on a 15 minute call, once you both know it's a good fit.

How is Doju different from other programmes?

Most programmes for designers focus on one part of the business, like funnels, cold outreach or design skills. Doju takes you from being seen to being hired, built around the way you like to work, and it's taught by someone still running an agency every week. It's built for any creative service, not only web design. For a full comparison, see the best business coaches and programmes for designers.

Frequently asked questions

Is Doju a course or coaching?

Both, depending on the option. The self-guided programme is lessons, templates and ready-made systems. The 1-1 option adds direct support from Oliver.

Do I need a big audience?

No. Doju is built around getting in front of the right handful of people, not posting every day or building a following.

Does Doju teach cold outreach?

It covers warm outreach to people who already follow or engage with businesses like yours. It doesn't rely on sending hundreds of cold emails.

Is there a free way to start?

Yes. The free workshop, How I'd get to $25k months if I had to start again, covers the core ideas.
